Taxation of Intl. Transactions
This electronic course will be led by Daniel Ng. He is a specialist in global investments and finance. He was recently appointed International Perceptor at the Tax Law Institute. He recently joined the Tax Law Institute to research the impact of the U.S. internal revenue code upon investment and financing decisions among taxpayers entered into or divesting a merger, acquisition or joint venture. He is an honor's graduate of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He holds a J.D. and an LL.M. Daniel will co-moderate the "Practice Area" course, "U.S. Taxation of Mergers, Acquisitions and Joint Ventures".
Michael Stuart will co-moderate this course. He is a Harvard-trained specialist in international financial management and accounting. He served as White House tax policy adviser during the administration of Bush '41. He assisted the Trilateral Commission and advised Harvard University as special consultant. He is a former law professor and presently serves as an IRS-approved provider of continuing education in Federal Tax Law and U.S. Tax Court Trial Practice.
Judge John F. Dean, former U.S. Tax Court Special Trial Judge, will provide oversight. Judge Dean worked in the international section of the Office of Chief Counsel of the Internal Revenue Service. He sat on the bench in the U.S. Tax Court for 20 years.
And L.B. Carpenter, CPA Member of the Bar U.S. Tax Court and IRS Code Section 482 specialist together with Professor Joni Larson, Federal tax evidentiary scholar and former IRS tax litigator will offer insights regarding important cases and opinions in international tax.
