Completion of any ABA aw school program, e.g. Juris Master in Taxation or Certificate in Tax, through the Tax Law Institute and University of Alabama School of Law Graduate Tax Program, does not qualify an individual to assert that he or she has completed a traditional law school JD or LLM program, nor does it purport to qualify an individual to establish a legal practice or hold him/herself out to the public as a licensed attorney, counselor of law, or lawyer. Individuals who successfully complete the United States Tax Court Practitioner's Bar (Non-attorney) Examination and meet moral character criteria are considered duly admitted to practice exclusively before the U.S. Tax Court. Such persons must specify their professional designation as "United States Tax Court Practitioner". To do otherwise invites civil and criminal prosecution for the unauthorized practice of law (UPL).
